VistaMedia Inc. is excited to announce Emily Mook as the new Associate Editor for our Lynchburg publications — a move that underscores both the company’s continued investment in the region and the city’s own business and cultural momentum.
VistaMedia’s expansion in Central Virginia mirrors Lynchburg’s thriving growth — from its energetic downtown to the dynamic entrepreneurs and changemakers shaping the community’s future. Emily’s promotion comes at a time of growth for both VistaMedia and the Lynchburg market. As Lynchburg Business prepares to expand its print frequency and continue highlighting the region’s economic vitality, her addition reflects our commitment to investing in strong, locally rooted journalism that celebrates regional success.
Emily is no stranger to our readers. For more than a decade, she has been a trusted voice in VistaMedia’s Lynchburg magazines and regional travel guides. Her thoughtful writing, community insight, and storytelling talent have long captured what makes Central Virginia such a special place to live, work, and explore.
A proud graduate of Virginia Tech with a B.A. in English, Emily brings both literary craft and local passion to her new role. Before officially joining VistaMedia full-time, she served the community as a youth services librarian in Lynchburg — all while contributing regularly to our publications.
Beyond the page, Emily’s creativity shines on stage as an active participant in Lynchburg’s community theater scene — a reflection of her deep connection to the region’s arts, culture, and people. Her deep familiarity with the region and long history with our publications will be paramount in shaping the next chapter of VistaMedia’s Lynchburg titles as we continue to grow with the community we serve.
